Pending Board approval, American Sedan will introduce a tire inclusion listfor 2021. Racers will choose between BFG R1 and R1S; Hankook Z214
C51; Hoosier R7, R6; Kumho V700; Nitto NT101; Toyo R888, RA1, andRR; and Yokohama A048 dry-weather tires, with a wet tire allowance.

2020, and your vote is needed.
Area 3’s current Directoris Lee Hill, who is timing out ofhis position. Meanwhile, Area
4’s Director Marcus Merideth,Area 9’s Director Charlie Davis,and Area 11’s Director JasonIsley are up for reelection.
Mike Skeen (ABOVE) emerged as the winnerfollowing a dramatic SCCAPro Racing TA2 Powered byAEM race on Aug. 8 at RoadAmerica. Skeen’s third TA2victory this season followed amulti-car incident in the high-speed kink that red-flaggedthe event with 16 minutes stillon the clock. With at least 20minutes of cleanup required,the race activity was halted.

Coast Championship opened
its competition season during
the Aug. 1-2 weekend on
Thunderhill Raceway Park’s
three-mile, 15-turn circuit.
There, Greg Pickett claimed
an overall and TA victory.
Finishing second overall,defending West CoastChampionship winner SimonGregg marked his XGTClass debut with a strongrun to the class win.
The TA2 powered by
AEM class saw Ethan Wilson
claim a flag-to-flag victory.
In SGT, Carl Rydquist alsoled flag-to-flag, while JoeBogetich finished on top in GT.
Three weeks later,the Trans Am West CoastChampionship raced atSonoma Raceway. There,Greg Pickett was once againin a league of his own.
Racing from pole-position,TA2 rookie Matthew Butsonmastered the Sonomacircuit early, checking outfrom the other drivers totake his maiden victory.
In SGT and GT, both CarlRydquist and Joe Bogetichremained unbeaten.
