It all began right around the time I got my driver’s license,” three-time SCCA SoloNational Champion Brian Kuehltells me as we chat over thephone. Our conversation wasnormal enough, Brian in NewHampshire and me in California, but outside our doors stoodthe early days of the COVID- 19outbreak, the reality of canceledmotorsports events, and the fearof a multi-state lockdown. Yet,in an unspoken agreement, ourvirus conversation was kept to aminimum – we were both longingfor the good times to return. So,with that, a chipper 28-year-oldBrian, who has recently shiftedhis focus to SCCA NationalTime Trials competition, toldhis tale. And, for that hourwithin our two homes, theworld was normal once more.
